Admire A Total Eclipse At Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls will be the ideal place to witness the next solar eclipse. Ideally located in its band of totality [editor’s note: the area where it will be total], they will see the sky darken on April 8, 2024 for around three and a half minutes, a priori from 3:18 p.m., when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun.
To enjoy the best views, opt, on the American side of the falls, for Prospect Point and the observation tower and for Terrapin Point; on the Canadian side, for Table Rock. As a bonus: the rainbow above the cataract will take on pinkish hues.

Go Back In Time To Minorca
In the Spanish Balearic archipelago, Menorca, quieter and less developed than its neighbors Majorca and Ibiza, conceals an archaeological treasure: on an area of only 700 km2, the island has 1,574 listed archaeological sites, ranging from the foundations of small dwellings with preserved remains of village centers well before the Roman Empire.
The most notable of these sites are the navetes, megalithic tombs dating from 1600 BC. AD; the talayots, watchtowers made of limestone blocks without mortar; and the taulas, sanctuaries specific to Menorca, reminiscent of the monoliths of Stonehenge.
These vestiges of the Talayotic culture, the first civilization to have inhabited the island, are now listed as world heritage. To get there, take the Me-1 road, which passes some of the best preserved sites, including the village of Talatí de Dalt, the naveta d’Es Tudons and the taula de Torretrencada.
Travel On A Luxury Train In Scotland
Exploring the wild lands of Scotland’s Highlands doesn’t have to mean roughing it. The Royal Scotsman train weaves elegantly between melancholic lochs and spectacular peaks. The new suites, which will be inaugurated in May, are adorned with dark woods, tweeds and tartans with rich patterns by the Scottish brand Araminta Campbell.
Departing from Edinburgh’s Waverley station, train journeys lasting two to seven nights pass through the heart of the Highlands, from Perthshire to Inverness, via the rugged west coast. Stops include visiting castles, stargazing in the Cairngorms National Park, tasting whiskey at distilleries, and even swimming in a loch.
