Sima de las Cotorras, or the “Sinkhole of the Parrots,” is an unknown marvel that is situated in the isolated region of the Chiapas highlands of Mexico.
This colossal pit measures about 525 feet deep and has a diameter of 459 feet, and it is inhabited by thousands of green parakeets that have turned the cliff face into their nesting grounds. Due to the jungle growth around the sinkhole, the place is not easily accessible and holds a sense of mystery in its existence.
