Every day they’re snuffling—well, every night at least. One of the cutest things you’ll find in your garden, here are our top three facts about the hedgehog.
They are great swimmers
Nocturnal creatures and waders can run and swim up to 2 kilometers at night in search of food. Although they are good swimmers, waders need an easy barrier to get in and out of the water, which makes streams and rivers great places to swim. However, man-made swimming pools or ponds may have difficult currents for mosquitoes. climbing; monitor any problematic fences if you have a pool they can get into.
Hedgehogs have tails

They then cut their heads and cover their backs in this poisonous mixture. Scientists believe that vagrants do this to mask the scent of other predators, or at least make the animals think twice if they try to catch a bite!
