Snakes are some of those non-certified pets that people admire, since some of them have venom that is lethal to human beings.

 Inland Taipan

It is called the ‘fierce snake’, and scientifically, it is known as the Inland Taipan (Oxyuranus microlepidotus), which is considered the most venomous snake on earth.

It is indigenous to Australia and it has the potency to end the life of an adult human within an hour. This species is one of the most venomous snakes in the world; nevertheless, the Inland Taipan snake is shy and remains secluded from people.

 King Cobra

The King Cobra (Ophiophagus hannah), inhabiting the Southeast Asian forests, is the longest venomous snake and potentially lethal at up to 18 feet in length. One of its venom’s is neurotoxic, and the bite of this snake will kill even an elephant.

The King Cobra is valued and feared in its areas of habitation because it becomes dangerous and aggressive when threatened.

 Black Mamba

It is one of the fastest-moving snakes, is found in sub-Saharan Africa, and uses potent venom when biting. It attacks many times and injects a huge amount of neurotoxic venom, which, if left untreated, can lead to death.

Many people fear this snake because it is native to the African continent and is well-known for being quite aggressive.

 Russell’s Viper

Endemic to Asia, Russell’s Viper, or Daboia russelii, is a dangerous snake that causes many snakebite deaths. Its sting results in stinging, inflammation, and bleeding that can cause the failure of the vital organs and eventually death if the patient does not receive adequate treatment. It inhabits fields and rural areas and thus poses a threat to farmers and other people working in the fields.

 Eastern Brown Snake

Another venomous snake from the continent of Australia is the Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis). It is a venomous snake and constitutes the highest cause of mortalities resulting from snake bites within Australia. The Eastern Brown Snake is very venomous and swift in its movement; it commonly resides in human habitats.

 Saw-Scaled Viper

The Saw-Scaled Viper (Echis carinatus), found in parts of the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent, is small but highly dangerous. Its venom causes coagulopathy, leading to uncontrollable bleeding. This snake is quick to bite and responsible for many snakebite incidents in its range.

Coastal Taipan

Another deadly snake from Australia, the Coastal Taipan (Oxyuranus scutellatus), delivers a potent neurotoxic venom that can kill within 30 minutes. It is agile and fast, often found in sugarcane fields and coastal regions. The Coastal Taipan’s bite requires immediate medical attention.
